RÖHREN-CHAIR
THE CHAIR IS DESIGNED FROM AN OLD TUBE TV, AN IKEA COUCHTABLE AND AN OLD SLEEPING BAG. THE IDEA IS TO USE OLD AND BROKEN THING TO CREATE SOMETHING NEW AND GIVE THE THINGS A NEW AND USEFUL PURPOSE.
I startet by desconstructing the tube tv and taking out the display. After that i sawed off the originally standing side so a seat shell would form.
The IKEA couchtable top was simply put into the seat shell and the legs from the table are cut in an angle and now form the legs of the chair, which stand a little diagonal. The legs and the shell are simply drilled together. I additionally have formend the shell with a heating gun so that the legs fit perfectly onto the seat shell.
For the padding i used an old sleeping bag and folded it in half along the long side. After that i just tapped it with double-sided tape to the shell of the chair.
