This project transforms discarded everyday objects into a functional design piece. The lamp is a readymade composed entirely of reused materials, giving new purpose to objects that had lost their original function.
An old fruit bowl made from wire mesh forms the lampshade. It is mounted on a vintage nutcracker, which serves as the base. Originally designed for a completely different task, it is recontextualized here as a sculptural stand, combining humor with functional stability. A single light bulb is placed at the center of the wire bowl. When switched on, the mesh structure transforms the light into a dynamic play of shadows and reflections, turning the surrounding space into part of the object itself.
Only reclaimed materials were used in this project. By working exclusively with existing objects, the design focuses on reinterpretation rather than production, emphasizing sustainability, resourcefulness, and the aesthetic potential of the everyday.
